I have major pain in my neck and shoulders. Sharp pains at times through my shoulder blades. Headaches. Strange skin pain at times in my legs that feels as if I have been burned, but with no visual signs.

Actually this is not consistent with a normal presentation of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) formerly referred to as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). CRPS occurs when a region of the body normally one extremity develops following an injury. Typical features include dramatic changes in the color and temperature of the skin over the affected limb or body part, accompanied by intense burning pain, skin sensitivity, sweating, and swelling. CRPS I is frequently triggered by tissue injury; the term describes all patients with the above symptoms but with no underlying nerve injury. Patients with CRPS II experience the same symptoms but their cases are clearly associated with a nerve injury.

If you have not had an injury, and this is not limited to a particular region of the body then it is more likley something like Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. However, there are multiple causes for diffuse muscle tenderness (called myalgia) and burning sensations (neuralgia). These can be due to autoimmune disorders, neuropathic or neuromuscular disorders or even infectious disorders like Lyme Disease.

CRPS can develop into diffuse pain, but this is normally a later development of the condition, when it may generalize or lateralize to other parts of the body.

With multiple symptoms like you are having, nobody can properly diagnose you on the computer. Even with a history, and physical examination, in most cases, diagnostic tests would need to be performed to determine the actual cause.

Many of the conditions which are possible are considered diagnoses of exclusion and the other significant conditions are ruled out first.

You should see your primary care provider to be evaluated and to determine if specialty referral is required.
