Since nearly dieing I find I cry at the drop of a hat and want to act like a bab

I want to suck my thumb and want alot more cuddles, My GF is very understanding, as since being in Hospital I am doubly incontinent and doesn't say anything about the dirty and saturated nappiues she has to change as I can't do it myself and she puts upo with my tears and tries not to let me see her going into a corner to cry. Please help.

Is it to do with the nervous system that you are incontinent? If so, it could be to do with the nervous system that your emotional part of the brain is affected. Just an idea.

I also think it is natural for your girlfriend to go through a bereavement, having lost part of who you were. She obviously loves you though so you are very blessed. Why not reassure her that she is allowed to go through this bereavement and can cry with you. She can also get support from people who have been there by contacting helplines etc.
